Longueuil Travel Guide
Welcome to Longueuil!
The history of Longueuil, Quebec is a mix between young and old. On one hand Longueuil's past dates back more than three centuries, but on the other hand the city's age is practically brand new. In 2002, several municipalities surrounding Longueuil merged together to form the new city of Longueuil. The new Longueuil, located on the south shore of the mighty St. Lawrence River, is a suburb to the province's largest city, Montreal. There are plenty of attractions waiting to be explored in Longueuil. If into art, the city has the Plein Sud, which features contemporary work by regional, national and international artists. The Musee Marie-Rose Durocher displays a large selection of paintings and objects that date back to the early 19th Century. After touring the museum, visitors can enjoy the beauty of nature in the Parc Régional de Longueuil. The large park is a popular place for cycling, walking, cross-country skiing, skating and tobogganing. Visitors can conclude the day over a meal in one of the city's relaxing restaurants.Tour Operators
